Finally the welcome and much anticipated return of The Charlotte Joyce Band!

After a 5 year hiatus Norfolk’s own Queen of Soul has returned this time adding piano to her live duties. In the past Charlotte has been given fantastic reviews in the media and has won competitions for her singing and song writing skills. She was also inaugural winner of ‘acoustic guitarist of the year’ 1996.

In the time she’s been away Charlotte has honed her skills gaining grade eights in Vocals and Piano, she teaches both these instruments to a high level and gives workshops for Trinity College’s Rockschool.

The extremely versatile four-piece play a staple set of Soul, R’n’B, Pop and Disco from the 60’s to the present day by a huge range of artists. Classic vocalists such as Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner are covered right through 70’s Disco divas Gloria Gaynor and Rose Royce to up to date favourites like Beverly Knight and Joss Stone.

The backing band provide a serious groove and solid harmonies, and so they should as the more observant will recognise them as the Ron Sayer Band (doing a spot of moonlighting!).
Up to 3 X 45 minutes sets can be provided by Charlotte and her band and set lists can be negotiated prior to the performance for special occasions. The band is totally self-contained with PA and lighting and background music can be played in the intervals in place of a disco on request.
All in all this is a band not to be missed, whether you’re a muso or just want to dance you will be entertained!
