Ron Sayer Jr. News Page

Hey all! Well after a quiet start to the year things are hotting up! The album is finished! The artwork is being printed as we speak and then off to our lovely promoter.

We had an awesome gig at the Watermark in Scarborough. Thanks to everyone who came, and special thanks to Christine 'Tripsy' Lerman for her videos on youtube aplenty, and to Panama Megatraps Jack for the loan of a gorgeous Gibson 339 that made me drool (though I managed not to get any on the guitar I hope).

The Chantel McGregor at the Waterfront was equally great, we sold many CDs and made lots of new friends while saying hi to some old ones. Thanks again to all who came (and who bought one our 'special' tickets :-) we will be saying hi to Chantel again soon as we're supporting on some of her UK dates in June. The gigs are starting to come in so check the 'gigs' page often for those.

The new 12 track album 'Better Side' will be available very soon from this very site :-) plus of course any gigs you come and see us at!

See you all very soon I hope :-D

Well it's been a busy few months, too busy even to update my news page!!

I've been pretty much everywhere this year New Zealand, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Luxembourg, Israel, The United States, Canada…even Watford! Played alongside luminaries such as Buddy Guy, John Mayall (and his amazing band) Walter Trout, Robin Trower, Matt Schofield, Nine Below Zero, Stan Webb, Debbie Davies, Imelda May, Buddy Whittington and Dani Wilde.

My band has been on hiatus for the past year while I've been beavering away on bass guitar for Oli Brown, co-writing his new album and touring the world. I recently made up my mind to get back onto guitar and start promoting my own band again. Back with the awesome forces of nature that are: Andy 'Mojo' Robinson on Keys, Clive 'Honeytrap' Jones on bass and Paul 'One Take' Wooden on drums. It's been a pleasure working with Oli and Wayne and I wish them well with their new bassist, things just got a little too busy for me to be able to indulge in the rest of life's pleasures such as family and playing in my own band ! Thanks guys :-)

So a new EP is forthcoming and we're currently looking for gigs, supports and festivals. Watch this space for live shows to come!

On a different note, look out for much more content on the site. I've had oodles of requests for more lessons, backing tracks etc so am currently working on all the requests, keep an eye on the store for more goodies you simply can't live without :-)

See you at a gig soon hopefully :-)
